1996 Henderson D-18, Mahogany/Sitka Spruce
Wide open! This 1996 D-18 from Wayne Henderson is unhinged in the right kind of way: the voice is wide open right out of the gate. #173 has been played in like the workhorse 18-style it is, and the result is a Dread with power, energy, and a quick woody decay to accentuate notes. Mahogany back and sides of course, and this one’s topped with Sitka Spruce and rear-shifted, scalloped braces to make the bass pop a bit extra. Tortoise-style bindings pair up with Wayne’s handmade pickguard; 1 11/16” nut for easy lefthand fretwork; and this beauty comes with an Ivory nut and saddle too further stand out.
"Hear ye, hear ye! This is what a Mahogany Dreadnought should sound like. Killer clarity and power and bell-like chime on the top end." - Paul Heumiller Cash Price: $13,995 For more information please visit:
