FS: Eastman 804C Oval Hole Acoustic Archtop Short Scale Cutaway - 1700
Hi all,
I am listing an Eastman 804C for sale. Based on the label, tailpiece, and fiber glass case, I think this is one is a 2000s era model. Really nice example of a carved acoustic archtop from Eastman. Maybe they knew this one came out really nicely, because it did not become designated as an “E” model with factory electronics. The woods are notably nicely figured too. Great maple on this one, you’d think it was from the 900 series. I am not sure if this is a stock spec for those oval hole 804s, but the scale length is a shorter 24.75”, which makes for a nice feel. The nut is 1.75”. In really nice shape, the top shows some marks, but the rest is fairly clean. String height is about 5/64-4/64”, a bit of a relief, but both adjustable. I detect a slight cant of the bridge posts toward the neck, but all is well in current use. I think this is a great sounding guitar, and an incredible value given the price range. Clear, big sound with a nice character to it. I end up playing finger style mostly but takes a pick nicely too. It also comes with one of the fiberglass cases, which I always liked compared to the usual wood/tolex cases. Was Asking 1800 shipped, now 1700, obo, via a no fee payment method please. thanks for looking, any questions please feel free.
