Those are both much better, Barry. When it comes to mixing and editing, it probably helps to follow the medical oath - "first, do no harm" :-) Maybe the recording equivalent would be "don't touch those dials". A stereo recording of a nice tune with a good-sounding guitar in a decent acoustic space should sound quite good with no extra processing. Especially if you're not mixing/mastering over good speakers in a good acoustic space, it's really easy to do more harm than good.

I have a guitar with thin, harsh highs and what helped was to use a fatter gauge of string, say mediums when the wound strings are lights.

Both guitars have mediums on them. I don't like the sound of the two trebles on the Furch though. That set is coming off soon. Thanks.
