I've owned it for a couple of months now and absolutely love it! Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Fabulous guitar.

Came close. One was for sale on Denver CL, and I decided to buy it based mainly on the excellent review by that JP dude.

Had a back-and-forth with the buyer, but then he suddenly ghosted me, don't know why.

I ended up with a DYMR70SB, which is a fine guitar, but certainly different from the FYM66HD.

This is of little help but I'm waiting for delivery of the sitka topped version of that guitar. All the the commentary I've read about it is highly favorable. Good luck with your quest!

I have the dread version of that guitar (DYM60HD) and that's why I'm considering the all mahogany OM. Been a long time since I've had an all mahogany guitar...

I’ve got both the FYM66HD and the DYM60HD. They’re solid well built dynamic playing and sounding guitars . The neck carve on both are a very comfortable 44mm softer shallow V feel love it. These are truely top shelve instruments that play and sound as good as any of the boutique and big name builders. Very light in weight like a great Santa Cruz.

Those are very expensive, I would want some fret markers. But it looks cool as hell, love the idea its made in Japan with 50 year old aged Honduran Mahogany--would like to play one sometime, enjoy (:

The spruce top version of this guitar is Adirondack, the FYM60HD.

I've been curious about that one. Too bad it's got a 44mm nut and not a 45mm

44mm=1.732 ". More like Gibson's standard nut.

Honestly I can't tell the difference switching back and forth between the Yairi and my 1 3/4 nut Eastmans. It's the string spacing you need to look at.

On my DYM60HD the string spacing at the nut feels wider that 1 3/4".

I just looked up the FYM60HD. They have had a pretty big price increase since I last looked at them. Almost $3K now!
