Default Humidipak Alert

I currently have the "new" humidipaks that were sent to me by Planetwaves in my guitar cases. They seem to be causing the green interior to become discolored in the area where the pouches are contacting the fabric.

Has anyone else experienced this? I contacted Planetwaves via email (couldn't find a customer service number), but haven't heard back from them.

I put the one set of new ones in my guitar case and so far have not seen any discoloration (Taylor "red" plush case c. 2005). Interested in what you find out. If they are not leaking, could be releasing h2o vapor in a strange way??

I would love to buy/use this product but am waiting for the bugs to get worked out. Hope this isn't another glitch.

Me too, I have been waiting since the recall to see what the resolution was, they sound ideal, but I'sa bit tenative right now, and I don't know if they are available for sale yet anyway. I think the replacements are the testing phase first, but I don't know that for sure either.

These are the green interior on Bourgeois and Collings TKL cases. Planet waves advised me to remove the packets until the issue is resolved. I have to take pictures tonight and send them to them. I will let everyone know how I make out.

I am getting the runaround from the customer service representative that I am dealing with through email. Does anyone have a telephone number for Plant Waves or D'Addario. Thanks.

I can now report that D'Addario/Planet Waves is all over this situation. Evidently, I was not the only one to call with a complaint. The Humidipaks in question are being overnighted to their R&D facility to determine what is going on.

In the meantime, for those of you that are using the Humidipaks, I would be very careful until there is some resolution.

I just found my TKL case had the same problem. It looks like it's bleaching the color out of the green lining. I've emailed D'Addario, hopefully I'll hear back from them in the morning. Here are some pictures:

Lovely, ain't it? Yes, I took the Humidipaks out.

This is exactly what has happened to my cases. You need to contact Mark Roldan of D'Addario at 800-323-2746.
