Default Córdoba c5 vs c3

Am I missing something, or is the main difference the top finish? I do prefer the satin over the gloss. But is the C5 a better guitar?

appearance wise, you are correct in the difference in the finish

It's been a while since I have examined the spec's on these 2, but I think there was some structural improvements in the C-5.

Both are good entry level nylon string guitars.

Depending on your overall goals & expectations; you may decide they are fine.

Before pulling the trigger, you might want to compare them to the C-7. The C-7 is a nice intermediate level guitar

The bodies on the C3 and C5 share almost the exact dimensions and fan bracing, and aside from the finishes, the only notable differences are minimal at best:

1. Pau Ferro fingerboard on the C3 vs. Pau Ferro or Rosewood (dependent on production date) on the C5;
2. Pau Ferro top binding on the C3 vs. composite on the C5; and
3. Silver tuning machines with Pearl Buttons on the C3 vs. Gold with Pearl Buttons on the C5.

Bottom line....you can't go wrong with either one, although the C5 may have a better resale value.
