As bold an innovator as he is learned a historian, Dana Bourgeois has expanded the possibilities of the steel string parlor guitar. Inspired by the instruments that bridged the gap between European and American designs, Dana took this tiny template and expanded the frequency range and overall volume to an elegant fingerstyle instrument with a rare and intimate voice.

This limited edition “Piccolo” has all the charm and elegance he could muster. The finely grained Adirondack top ensures it can compete with guitars twice its size. The light, milk-chocolate mahogany back and sides lend it an earthy, faintly reverby fundamental. Visually, the real star is this half herringbone trim; iconic, yet totally new and original.

This is the kind of guitar that pulls you in. It will make you reconsider the parameters and possibilities of acoustic instruments. Whether for the couch, studio, or stage, this little guitar is up to the challenge. It’s wonderfully unique, woody tone needs to be heard.
