Holding the classical guitar part II
I tried a piece of that shelving cloth material that is non-slip under the guitar on my left leg. It worked great. No more guitar sliding out from under me. I may not need the suction cups I ordered.
I was dead tired tonight and I still played much better using the cloth than I did yesterday. I needed that "ahh" moment. What a difference a day makes.

If you are going that route, consider using Caloosa grip tape. It's dirt cheap on ebay, and works great. I used it to keep my plastic Flight Travel ukulele in place. It went from trying to hold a wet bar of soap to being rock solid.
A black 4in x 8in sheet cost about $3.50, and 8in x 12in is $9.95. It's sold to improve the grip on hand guns. You just cut it to shape and apply it to the guitar body. I posted some photos on the ukulele underground forum. |
