I gave my grandson an old Tacoma 2years ago. Since then he has taught himself to play and now he is repairing electrics. He has bought a 12 sting, a bass, and several electrics and a couple of ukes which he is teaching his younger sisters. And he recently build this thing. My son said it was a resonator, but I do not see a metal cone. Also there was a trumpet and a flute.
Regardless, he plays for youth group and family, and has stimulated my son to ask for my D-15M for himself.
I am excited to see at least one of my 21 GKs getting into guitars and music!

Very cool. It must feel good to know you've passed on a love of music to your grandkids. I'm trying to get my 10-yr old granddaughter inspired, but being hours apart makes it hard.

Sweet! My granddaughter made a guitar, too. I’m encouraging her to try wood next time.

We are 20 hours apart so we rely on Email and he does some YouTube When other GKs visit I try to entice them to learn some chords, but to no avail. He is the second of 21 GKs, so there is still hope for more, but living all around the country there will be no family band.[emoji19]

The homebrew guitar looks like a cigarbox guitar. Very popular and very cool. I wonder if thats how Bob Taylor got started.

Whoa! ... hang on a minute ... how did she get hold of that all new Taylor ahead of official release? Andy 'Chasing Rainbows' Powers will be furious!

(Lovely shot too BTW)

Default Such a great feeling

I know what you mean my oldest GS is playing guitar along with my youngest GS and the other is playing bass now if my fourth would only take up the drums and make it a family affair.
