Default Si Bheag Si Mhor (William Coulter)

Having learnt and played the Keith Chappell version of this last year I was keen to learn the William Coulter version, and finally got around to it earlier this month.

It's one of my favourite tunes and really challenging to get the feeling right and the timing.

Recorded straight into my Zoom H5 (as close as I could get it) and then processed in Auria on my Ipad and a little EQ/Reverb added.

Hope you like it.

Nice playing. Good sound with the Zoom.

Thanks - I believe it was you who pointed me at this version last year.

Beautiful arrangement. Anyone know where I can purchase the sheet music?

It’s in a book called “Celtic crossing” by William Coulter - available on Amazon.

Very nice Wrighty!

I know this version very well because I learned it a few years ago. It's been so long since I played it that I have forgotten how. But I remember the little subtleties in that piece.

Well done!

It's a beautiful song, and you've done it justice.

Good job with that. The notes seem to breath more with this version of the tune. Excellent recording quality too.

Thanks for listening Barry - definitely my favourite version. I’m quite surprised at what the Zoom can do if you get it set up correctly.
