Mixolydian traditional songs
Hello all
I am finding playing the melodies of old songs with a major 3rd and flattened 7th great for learning my way my way around Orkney tuning but I only know 2 , Greenland Whale Fishery and Reynardine. Can anyone suggest some others? Thanks . |

Thanks for those suggestions, that list of Irish songs with modes is a great resource, I particularly liked that air Johny Doyle, think it should sound great played in Orkney.
