Weird CL experience
I saw a lawn mower for sale on Craigslist for $140 and I call the guy up and offer $120. It had been posted 2 months ago so I thought he might take less.
He says I'll have to talk with my wife. Never called me back but I noticed {a couple of hours later} that the price in his add went from $140 to $260. |

Some wives are like that.

Offer him $280 to see if he'll go even higher.

Maybe, he misunderstood you and thought you were the good samaritan telling him it should be priced $120 higher than he had it at.

I looked at the title and thought "is there any other kind?"

And today the add is gone. Maybe almost doubling the asking price was all he needed to sell it!

I've seen this on evilbay. There was a partial drum set I saw for sale for like $699. It was on there for months. Then, a music shop had it on consignment, and I think it sold for $899.
