SOLD**Blackbird Super OM (Carbon Fiber)**SOLD
This is an incredible instrument, that i list quite reluctantly. I have owned Santa Cruz, Goodall, Collings, etc..., and there is no question that this is the guitar I have put far and away more hours into over the last 8+ years. Though, you wouldn't be able to tell that. Because thanks to the stainless steel frets and the carbon fiber build, the guitar plays no differently than it did when I first got it.
Leave it in the cold car all day, leave it in the trunk all summer--pull it out, and it's still in tune. It is incredibly loud, responsive, and consistent. It plays like a dream, and I have multiple saddles I am including (bone, black graphite, wood ones, etc...). It is so comfortable, thanks to the back shaping that can only be done with CF. It has the volume of a dread, but feels like the most comfortable OM you can imagine, in the hands. it is as articulate as any guitar I've owned in terms of fingerpicking, as loud and responsive as you would want with strumming, and sounds great plugged in. There are actually three sound holes on the guitar, which creates an immersive, almost stereo-like experience for the player. There is the main hole on the top, a sound-port of sorts down by the neck joint, and then the neck itself is hollow (only with CF!) and has a sound hole up on the headstock. As one forum member observed, "this is the guitar Mr. Spock would play." I am only selling it--reluctantly--in order to fund an Emerald x30 custom order that i have put in. (I'm looking for cash, but I'm always a sucker for trade offers....) $1750 shipped (returns accepted---this is an amazing guitar). Last edited by BongoSTL; 01-20-2019 at 01:54 PM. |

It's not the MiSI---it's the fishman matrix infinity. I A/B the two, and much preferred the fishman. The MISI sounded super quacky to me.
