Default Hollow body through a Bose S1?

I am playing guitar in a quintet tomorrow for about 400 people. Strictly facbook jazz tunes. Will be playing a hollow body. Would rather not schlep my big fender amp and was wondering if anyone has played a hollow body through a Bose S1...Would make life a lot easier.

I play a Vally Art Semi hollow thru an S1 pro rig. You will notice the gaffers tape over the f holes. It seems to help cut down on feedback thru the guitar. Also, I put the speaker on poles diagonally behind me when playing.

I'd expect a hollow body could sound great through an S1, and Chickee adds evidence in that department. But a crowd of 400 people is pushing it for an S1.

Agreed but it’s a conference reception and I don’t think we will be the focal point of the event. Which, given my extremely rusty chops with playing jazz standards, it’s probably a good thing.

Thanks!

I have a PRS Archtop and play it regularly through the S1. Absolutely no problems and excellent clean tone. Feedback was not an issue. The PRS is a 4" thick hollow body with f holes as well and no issues at all for me.
In fact, all of my electrics- G&L Strat, PRS solid body, Brian Moore C90P all sound great through the S1.
Good luck!

I run my Archtop through a Bose L1c and it sounds great. The S1 might be even better, having a little less bass response. Enjoy!

Hey guys, thought I would give you an update. The gig was outdoors under a huge tent, 400 people and several good heaters. The S1 was plenty loud enough and I was able to dial in a decent tone using a Trace Elliot trans acoustic pedal. The tone was not quite as good as running through my fender hot Rod deluxe but between the weight savings and not having to look for a place to plug-in it was perfect. Whether or not my playing qualified as jazz is up for debate but the rest of the quintet graciously carried me and it was fun stepping out of my comfort zone. Thanks for weighing in with your comments on the S1

Lol I'm sure you were great. Thanks much for the report, it's quite a testament to the capabilities of the S1.
