Default Guitar repair in central NC?

Hi all,

I recently acquired a 1956 Gibson J-50 in a trade with another forum member, and have been completely blown away by the Gibson tone (this is the first vintage one I have ever played). The guitar is stellar, however, it has a center-seam crack that was cleated wonderfully, but only for half the length of the split. I took a trip to Lowe Vintage in Burlington to have Ed evaluate the guitar, and he brought a couple minor issues to my attention that I would like to have worked on, as I would LOVE to be able to gig with the guitar. I have reached out to SoundPure in Durham, but have not heard back yet. Can anyone reccomend a solid repairman/luthier in the north/central NC area? Thanks in advance!

John Boulding in Mt Airy has done work on my ‘67 J-50 and other guitars. I’ve been well pleased.

I've known and worked with Greg Hanson of Hanson and Crawford in Durham. He is meticulous and thorough.
