Default Another attempt at photographing Orion

It's not that great and a little noisy, but it was very windy and cloudy last night, so it was tough to take long exposures with the wind knocking the scope around and ruining the focus. This was basically only a minute of exposure. It's not bad for a minute.

I hope to expose for much longer on the next cloudless, windless night.

Yes, it does. Orion is one of the most spectacular constellations in the sky. Very nice!

Now you just have to figure out how to look through your telescope and have the image sent via Bluetooth to your computer or smart TV so you don't stand out there freezing.

Not a problem in Florida. This is what I've been waiting for actually.

I enjoy your night sky pics, Rob! Orion is one of the few constellations I can immediately spot at night. What a great pic you took!

Reminds me of a Dead concert I was at years ago.

Do you ever think that when you observe stars/constellations that perhaps someone over there is also observing us wondering "what's out there?".

I think the images of Orion are great but you must have a big blue smudge on your telescope. May want to wipe that down...
