Default Wood ID

I found this ukulele used at a guitar shop that I happened to have store credit at, and brought it home. I cannot find the builder online, it's well made with solid woods, but I'm not sure what the back and sides are. I'm also curious about the binding.

Walnut????
It looks very similar to a cedar/walnut uke I just picked up.

Some type of mahogany/sapele maybe? Grain looks like a Cordoba Uke I have which is hog.

Also judging by the binding looks to me like it may be stained(?) so it might not be the natural hue of the wood.

I think it is a walnut too. Seeing the sides that is light color, I am pretty sure that it is not a mahogany or sapele and those likewise
What is more the gap between grains are not uniform and having some black streaks.
Moreover does it get a good mid?
Walnut is commonly known for having good mid range
After some googling, I think the wood is more likely to be ovangkol.
You can go check out lmii raw wood of ovangkol. They looks simliar to it.

The mountain on the label, I'm 95% sure, is Mt. Hood which is just east of Portland Oregon, where I live and where I found the ukulele, so I'm assuming it was built somewhere around here. I have the same view of the mountain as the one on the label, so I'm assuming it was made by someone on the west side of Mt. Hood, but I can't find this luthier. It's really well built with a great nitro finish, so I'm also assuming it was built by someone with luthier experience.

Thank you for the link. I googled Grace guitars but came up with nothing for some reason. Now I need to see if he is still around the area.

Yep, that's the flat lander view of Mt Hood. Also known as the view from the west. We live near the base of the mountain.

I've not heard of Grace. Keep searching, there's got to be something.
