I love my 2015 D-18. To look at, I don't find it a particularly attractive guitar, except from one vantage point, that as seen while being played, and from there it's gorgeous!

Yep......Got a 2017 D-18 myself a few weeks ago.
Very responsive guitar with great tone. Love it.

Congratulations on the D18. Think Martin scored a massive hit with the thoughtful re-design, IMO the scalloped bracing unleashes a more lively sound than the slightly dull previous model which I owned for a while.

And yes, to echo the sentiments of some of the others on here, a J45 should be next on your list, definitely

Welcome to the D-18 Owners club! Lifetime, classic voice. I chased sound for years buying and selling other guitars. Good ones too. Then I stumbled on a D-18 and it has become my number one gigging "Go-To" guitar. It delivers the acoustic voice I always wanted and it plays like a dream.
