Guitar humidifier question
Hi folks! I am new to this forum and this is my first thread so my question might sound a bit stupid. I want to get a humidifier for my Tak G321, but I dont have guitar case. So is the guitar case necessary for guitar humidifiers or not? I am talking about inside soundhole humidifiers.

The quick answer is yes, for the best results
If you use a soundhole humidifier, some/much humidity will escape the soundhole and not really benefit the guitar enough. You can do three things: 1) seal the soundhole to trap humidity inside the body but that's not a good solution 2) get a case to trap humidity around the whole guitar 3) humidify the room which is the best solution I do add a soundhole humidifier to my humdified room on really dry days, but I don't rely on one by itself. It depends completely on how much dryness you are trying to overcome.

You would be better served to get one of those room humidifiers. They are cheap, and get you a Hygrometer to measure the humidity. You don't have to get one of those hygrometers they sell for guitars, they are too expensive. Get an acurite meter for around 12 bucks, and a humidifier for less than 30 bucks, and you're set. At Wal Mart you may even do better on the prices.
Or you can get an inexpensive gig bag and a sound hole humidifier around the same price, maybe a little less.
