Default Martin HD-28 LSH Grand Marquis, ohsc

Sale Pending Martin HD-28 LSH "Grand Marquis"made in 1994. This was the first large-sound hole Martin.
Specs: a double-herringbone rosette, 4-1/4" sound hole high-X bracing, herringbone back strip, tortoise binding with black-white side inlay, bridge snowflakes, bone nut and saddle, tortoise pick guard, gold tuners with "M" buttons, Style 45 peg head, and snowflake neck inlays. "Grand Marquis" inlaid at the 12th fret.

This is a Limited Edition, "1935 Style" premium spruce top with large sound hole, 4-1/4" diameter, 5/16" scalloped bracing, high X-brace (1" below sound hole), Indian rosewood back and sides, 14-fret mahogany low profile neck, 45-Style inlays in 20-fret ebony fingerboard, "Grand Marquis" inlaid in 12th fret, ebony bridge with snowflake inlays, herringbone top purfling, backstrip and double sound hole rosette, rosewood peg head overlay with block C.F. MARTIN inlays, gold tuners with "M" embossed buttons, tortoise plastic body binding and pick guard, w-b back and side purfling, factory bone nut and saddle, 15-1/2" lower bout, 3-7/8" to 4-7/8" body depth, 25.4" scale, 1-11/16" nut width. Condition is generally excellent, a couple of playing dings on the top, also a top repair by luthier Bill Tippen ( look him up). No wear to back or sides.

Not many of these guitars were made - 115 natural, 36 sunburst. Original list in 1994 was $4500. SALE PENDING $2,300 plus shipping. Includes the original Martin deluxe case and LR Baggs Anthem Pickup System ( $299).

This is a nice guitar, hands down. It’s rare to find one, has a huge voice but still nicely balanced with both bass and trebles. And it’s a looker. Is that a repaired crack near the center seam in the lower bout?

Are you certain the nut width is 1 11/16?
If 1 3/4, I am interested.
