Default don't like amplified guitar

Hi ; I play thru a fishman soloamp.most times I use my Martin OM28, but sometimes I like the feel of my Larrivee omv-03, mahgony. when I plug in my Martin , I love the sound, but when i plug the Larrivee ;I just don't like it amplified. Installed are the same Trance Audio pickup in both guitars. Why? One is mahgony the other Rosewood, any suggestions? thanks.

Can you us give some background on who did the Trance installations and what your signal chain is? Thanks.

I really don't want to say who did it , but he is a professional at these pickups. It is not the installation , maybe it's my ears . I think I like the sound of rosewood more than hog. or maybe the Martin just sounds better.

Basically, my feeling is that a pickup system is picking up the tone mainly from the strings and vibrations from the top, and to a lesser extent, the tonewoods of the back-and-sides "inform" what the pickups are hearing. The bracing of both guitars will influence the amplified tone of each one. Have you tried EQing the Larrivee differently from the EQ settings at which your Martin sounds best? Larrivees tend to sound brighter than Martins and you may want to add a bit to the Bass EQ and subtract a bit from the Mid-range and Treble-range EQ.
