Red Sox - Benintendi is batting .103, Devers is only .175, and Martinez is at .222 and has hit just 1 HR. It's not because they're not playing enough, they play every game.

As terrible as the Red Sox are, I think almost every team has a chance at the expanded wild card this year.

Still waiting for my Cardinals to get well enough to resume play. At this point playing all the remaining 55 games will be a tall task. If they have to postpone any more it will be impossible to play a full schedule.

Bennie just went on the IL. So his rush to the Mendoza line is stalled for now.

Yea, I saw a stat a few days ago that should something like the Cards would need to be 55 games in 49 days or something like that. That was before the past couple of cancellations.

Some players get remembered for great hitting, one player gets remembered for terrible hitting. Hopefully Bennie heals quickly.

Looks as if the Cardinals might end their shut down tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Redsox are playing as if Bobby V is calling the shots from the dugout. True, their two best starters are out for the season. True, they traded a franchise player.

But even with all that exodus of talent, they still should be playing decent baseball. They ain’t even bad; they are epically horrid.

They'd better. I think they have only played 5 games so far. A lot of make-up to do.

Meanwhile, my MARLINS are crushing it in the NL East. Well, maybe not crushing it but we're enjoying a rare experience in first place. Not the most talented team but certainly one of the most motivated. Counts for a lot.

I'm even starting to think MLB will make it through the season. They have shutdown some teams for Covid spread but I haven't heard of any players getting very sick. Must be nice to be young and in amazing shape. Theses athletes just seem to bounce back. The season will go on. And I'm already looking ahead to a NY Yankees vs Miami Marlins World Series!

Sox are brutal this year, both hitting and pitching. I'm glad it's a shortened season and that there's NHL this summer to take my mind of MLB.

I think I read the Red Sox are now the 2nd worst team in baseball. So if it's any consolation, Dru.... it could be worse. Just sayin'

Go Marlins. From worst to first!

Hey Barry, that made me laugh! Yes, it could always be worse.

How about Mookie Betts tying the record for the most 3 homerun games in a career - he's done it six times now. Wow. Tied with Sammy Sosa and Johnny Mize. I miss him.

Apparently, my Cardinals remembered how to play... we won a doubleheader with the White Sox.

That's great news, Kerbie! Before today, the Cardinals had played 5 games and almost half of the other teams had played 20!

When the season ends if not all the teams have played 60 games MLB will need to go off winning % for playoffs.

The Cardinals could make it in with an 11-5 record! They just need to play and win a few more games

It took Sammy more than 2,000 career games to do that. Mookie did it in his 813th game. Awesome!
