Default NGD Gibson SJ200 Western Classic

I ordered this last week from Musician's Friend and it arrived yesterday. The Gibson SJ-200 Western Classic. Thermally aged Adirondack spruce top and rosewood back/sides. The SJ has been one of my "some day" guitar wants. Never thought everything would come together to actually be able to purchase one, but it did. I've had a chance to play it some and my initial impressions are good. It has a nice mellow tone, but with a deep sound if that makes sense. I can really feel it when playing. The neck shape fits me well and it has a good smooth feel to it. I was happy to find this model doesn't have any electronics in it. I never plug in my acoustics so less is better for me in this area. I'm surprised how light this guitar feels, and how comfortable it is to play sitting down. The Abalone headstock inlay is beautiful and the binding and finish are wonderfully done. Anyways, here are some quick pics, although it's much prettier in person.... Got to go play some more. And thanks to RILEY31 for the info he provided me.

I'm glad to see it came in.Now try some 80/20 strings on it, mine sound amazing with 80/20 Ernie Ball Earthwood medium lights 12-54. I hope you love it as much as I do mine.

Absolutely beautiful guitar! If it sounds even half as good as it looks you are in business!

I was planning on changing the strings as soon as I got the SJ, but it just sounds better each time I pick it up. When it's time for a string change I'll try some D'Addario 80/20s that I already have at the house. I love figuring out a new guitar's preferences, especially one like this. Thanks for the comments everyone.
