Sounds great J.R. I just placed my order but the screen froze and I'm not sure if it went through or not.

rlouie - You are too kind....

I actually have several favorites of my own already, especially some of the vocal tracks - it was (for some reason) a wonderful surprise when #1 had vocals, and I'm so glad that decision was made for this one too. This CD reminds me of all the musical diversity on the forum, and all the sheer talent. Wow!

Thanks again for the opportunity to be represented here - it is truly an honor, and pretty cool too.

Smile Thanks so much, AGF!

I want to express my thanks and gratitude to Acoustic Guitar Forum and J.R. Rogers and everyone else involved for including me on Acoustic Guitar Forum CD2.
When I first heard CD1, I knew the competition was pretty steep, and gave up hope for the songs I entered. Since CD2 is also filled with fantastic songs and artists, it was a shocking and humbling experience to discover I was placed in such good company.
I also owe a debt of gratitude for everyone here. Back when I inquired about buying professional studio time since I had a few bucks to spare, I received great advice about recording in a studio, and utilized those tips while there. The songs were mostly done in one take since I wanted to get as many as I could for $50.00 an hour.
The song chosen for the AGF CD: “Smile for the Camera” was one of the few songs I gave as much attention to as I could, and had to be satisfied after three or four takes. (Time goes fast when you’re there!) Since then, I’ve done all my recording at home, also with the help and advice of this forum.
On a personal note, back in December, my wife was told she would need a total knee replacement, and just as she was getting back on track, I was laid off from my job of five years. When I received the CD(s) in the mail today, I had forgotten what good news felt like, and how much it can lift your spirits.
I’ve sent out a lot of music over the years, and my expectations are usually pretty low that anything will come of it. When it does, all the past disappointments don’t matter.
I will be forever grateful, and always remember this as a very bright spot during a somewhat dark time.

John, I like every track on the recording, but the lyrics to "Smile for the Camera" grabbed my attention especially. Deep truths couched in memorable music! Would it be a problem to post those lyrics here?

Thank you for your music, and for your testimonial!

All the best,
cotten

A couple of copies of AGF#2 washed up on the oil streaked and battered coast of SE Queensland today.
I've only had time for an inaugural spin, but I've gotta say, I think it's a very good disc!
I LOVE the digpack and the artwork is very classy.
Thanks for including my piece. It's in very good company.

I just received mine in the mail today and it's playing now. I wanted to say a big thanks to everyone involved with playing and putting these cd's out there for us. Both AGF CD1 and CD2 are excellent quality recordings of some very fine musicians. Thanks.

ITS HERE!!!

First and foremost I want to thank everyone who help make this CD possible from the artist's to the production staff to the AGF for doing this for all of us.

This CD is completely AWESOME!!

Normally I would be able to pick my fav's right away, but not on this CD. Every song is unique and special.

Thanks to all

J.R., or anyone else for that matter, would it be possible to list the contributors by their screen names so that we can put a sound with a name?
Thanks
Hal
