Wow, Colin, I had no idea you were already in California and ready to pick up the guitar any day now. How exciting!! And you got to attend the concert in SLO, how cool is that!!

Have a great time out there, and in Arizona, too. Make sure you and the Kid take some pictures of your time together.

As has been mentioned, this guitar is really even more stunning in person. Got to see it yesterday and drool over the fit and finish and beauty of it.

Was also great to meet Colin and Phil and attend the guitar concert while I was there. My apologies as well to these two as they were hoping to spend some time with Mike yesterday and I monopolized his time for several hours. Wish I could have spent more time chatting with them as well. It was also a real treat to get to play Phil's Cedar/Tree Meridian. Wow--what a guitar!

Anyways, have a great time at the gathering on Wednesday and kudos to Mike and Colin on another Baranik masterpiece!

Thanks (on behalf of Mike!) for the nice words about the guitar.

Wineries today and found a Grenache blanc that is very good! Looking forward to Arizona in a few days and seeing John.

Hey Nemoman, glad you like my little guitar. We were just hanging out on Sunday and hoping that we didn't get in your way! It was great to meet you and your wife and I am looking forward to your build thread if you do one.

Neck and bridge time! I asked Mike to use the same bridge design that is on my other Baraniks. He has bound the neck but I am not sure what wood he used.

Congrats Colin and Jenn on the new guitars. Unfortunately, I did not know about the gathering until reading this thread. The first Baranik gathering was extremely fun, and I would certainly like to go again.

Let’s add the metal bits…..

Mike has installed the Gotoh 510 tuners with their original buttons, but will replace the buttons with wooden ones very soon.

Then it’s fretting time. Gold EVO frets. I can’t remember the width and height but I have them on my 2008 Baranik and they are very comfortable.

Not sure what all the paper is for, and it's too late in the day to ask Mike.

Add a nut and a saddle, and the guitar can take strings. Here is it on Mike's display wall. It is next to a Super Meridian, one of Mike’s newest models.

My 00 actually has an offset waist, which is a common feature on Mike's guitars and makes them more comfortable to play seated. Hard to see in the photo though.

Then onto the Tonerite (no photo necessary).

I plan to pick it up tomorrow

What a beautiful guitar, Colin!

And I can't wait to see the tuners Mike is going to put on that amazing headstock!

I played it today John and I think you will enjoy it when I get to Arizona! Very impressive the way the extra body depth gives it a "big guitar" sound, while the 00 size feels very comfortable and intimate to play.

Col

PS - Mike has the guitar and is taking some more photos tomorrow, then it's mine...all mine!
