Thanks Geordie! Looks like my DADGAD-A-MATIC might need adjusting.

Good stuff, thanks for posting. I had some very open, modal laughs while watching those.

Thanks! I had some "very open" and "very modal" moments while creating these videos too, believe me!

Loved 'em. Now I know how to how to play that spiritually driven music...in DADGAB. Or DAGBAD. Oh, dagnabbit, I can never remember how to say it.

I think I saw a used DADGAD-A-MATIC on Ebay the other day. It wasn't cheap. But then... few things in the true DADGAD world are.

I believe the DADGAG-A-MATIC GUITAR was banned in most developed countries, except France of course, in the early 1960's. The reasons remain quite vague, and finding any information on this fascinating instrument has been a challenge. It appears that several "incidents involving voltage regulation of the device and ale spilling" prompted authorities to pull the product early on. It should be noted as well, that the tuning oscilloscope would automatically default to DDDDDD. Strings broke or were flabby. A few eyes were lost, it was reported. These issues eventually led to the design of a much safer AND portable version that could be surgically implanted in the chest or even stomach of the guitarist. The DADGAD-A-MATIC remains as one of the most popular additions for the discerning DADGADIST.

C'est la vie! Who could have predicted that ROBOTS would go crazy over DADGAD? I always thought they only liked standard tuning!
