Default The One (Original)

I wrote this song a year ago and decided to record a demo of it today. This song started off as a mandolin riff and it was just a joke, a parody of a hick song but soon the song grew legs. Thanks for listening

Thats my sort of music...

From the humour in the lyrics [ whisky/frisky! ] to the way you built the song up and then brought it back down with the lovely "you're the one" element ...really very well done..

Thanks for sharing that one..

Yeah, I enjoyerd that. The gutar solo took me by surprise, as did the "massed" chorus at the end. but all kept me listening.

So I had to go to your very sphisticated website. Saw your recording studio -0 and listened to some of your other soundcloud recordings. I perceive a consistent composition and recording style. Good stuff.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I dig it. Can I ask what guitar you are playing? Love the tone.

+1 or above comments very cool build and great arrangement did expect the solo either even after reading there was one very cool . The song to me has a very earthy feel nice woody tone from the Gib if that's the right way to say it .

Very well recorded guitar and good song. What mic/mics did you use?

Jon.

Thank you

That's an AKG C451EB going into a SCA N72 mic pre. The lead guitar mic was a Nuemann U87 which wouldn't have been my first choice for that but it was hooked up and I went with it.
