Default NGD Eastman E20 om-tc

Finally received this late yesterday after a 5 day delay on delivery. Really liked it right away. Haven't discerned the difference in sound between it and the E8 om-tc yet but love them both. Am posting a side by side with the E20 on the left. The second is the E20 top close up. Different flavors of torrified!

Both baked, but the 20 is Adirondack and the 08 is Sitka, correct? Surprised you don't hear a difference right off. Both look beautiful however so enjoy.

Nice!

I got one of these from Dave's Guitar Shop around 6 months ago. I'm loving it - gorgeous sound and a beautiful instrument all round.

Yep, you've got it right. Well, I do hear a difference and I'm hearing a bit more now but it's as appealing to me as the 8 and maybe more. Something unique to the high strings. I expected more brightness and it is bright on the high end but different than I've experienced.

Glad to see you got your E20om-tc. I hope you like it.I really like mine and its just the standard one. I can tell a difference between my E8om and my E20om. Its hard for me to describe it though. If I had to I would say the E20om has a little more volume and a little more of a shimmery sound to it. I'm not sure about this but I've been hearing that the E8om-tc have been getting Alpine spruce tops instead of sitka. Dont know if thats true or not. Now your going to have to pick your self up a fishman amp so you can enjoy that k&k pick up.

Folks over at the Eastman Guitar Fan forum swear that its Alpine. At least the lighter torrified tops. The 20 isn't much darker. Surprised on both counts given the color of other Eastman cooked guitars. Oh well.

Yep, the Fishman will be coming up in the not too distant future but I don't want to get distracted by amplication until I've spent more time with the guitars. Might sell the E6om as I don't think it'll get much air time with the other two around but then again it would make a good couch guitar :-)

I know what you mean about selling the E6om. I actually gave mine to my son in law after getting my E20ss. Its not a bad guitar I just wasnt playing it that much.
