Count me among the AG6 users whose pickup just up and died. Unfortunately, I purchased it here and don't have the invoice (it was working when sent, so not on original owner). No recourse with Schertler for me unfortunately. I just went back to and am sticking with Dimarzio. I am glad that you are up and running however. Indeed, it is a good sounding piece of gear when it works.

Oh no sorry to hear that, they did say a batch of production line models had a faulty electrical component so maybe you got one of them!

It is a great sounding pickup when it works (I've been through 3 of them so far) yes, but don't trust it to not give me any problems in the near future hence looking for a backup by another brand.

Will probably get an iRig Acoustic Stage, as I heard it today and I liked it. Will do the job if anything ever goes down with the AG6.

Finally had to change the 3v battery in the pickup about 3 weeks ago. Did well to last over 6 months. Could notice a drop in signal and distorting when I strummed it.

Also didn't realise you had to peel off the sticker on the underside of the battery for it to work. Initially it was just buzzing and humming when I left it on!

And I had to get a new EXT cable as the one that came with it exposes the wiring and it got frayed when I was playing with it unplugged (I normally put it under my leg to hide it). The solder got damaged and it stopped working.
I got a the EXT one which is designed to be used on the outside of the guitar and not fitted permanently. It has a barrel to protect the wiring and it does the trick.
