Excellent, Fitness!
Now I'm gonna have to look at my list and see what I could pull off if necessary. I've gotten lazy, not doing solo for quite a few years. In a band with 3 other singers, I never do a zillion songs a night anymore... not like doing 4 solo sets. |

Yes, I play all from memory. I don't feel I can do as good a job presenting the material if I'm reading. Even in situations where I was in a pit band and expected to read, I brought home the material and memorized it. I have worked, and still work with people who have music stands in front of them. Drives me nuts. |

I've used some of those songs listed too. I guess we should start calling those "Standard Club/Bar/Wedding/ Songs"...

I do have the songs in front of me in a large notebook on a music stand. I use it mostly for Harmony G settings, loop settings for rhythm and drums and the occasional lyrics for when I need a little help. Never will I just read and stare at lyrics, but my memory needs to be jogged some times. I have an excuse in that I’m over 50. I admire those that don’t need the music stand but if I didn’t have it I wouldn’t be able to do the things that I enjoy most – live gigs.
