Default Looking for hard case for J-45 body type

Hi fellows,

I have a Fairbanks F-45, and am looking for a case for it.
Interested in cases made by high quality brands, but not as high as Calton or Hoffee due to my limited budget (I mean, if I can find one within the budget, I would be grateful)

The brands that I am interested in are:
  • Harptone
  • Gibson Brown case with pink plush
  • Cedar Creek
  • Hiscox Artist

Let me know what you got!
I am interested to learn more about other good brands.

Smile Mint Hiscox Artist

I have a Mint Hiscox Artist LA-GAD in Ivory/Silver that should fit your Fairbanks
Very well.

Up on Reverb and here as well. May be out of your budget but a heck of a case, and the top of the Hiscox line.

I really like the hybrid rigid foam cases like nice Yamaha's come with. They have great protection and are noticeably less weight. They aren't the best choice for checked airline luggage. But for carry-on use, around the house and gig work they are great.

I ordered one of these but it's just not deep enough for what I needed. It's listed as 5.5" deep. But my body is 5.5" deep not counting the bridge, which causes too much of an interference fit.

If you ever pass through Champaign Il, your welcome to see if your's fits it. Or if you want it, I'm sure we could work something out.

I was in a similar situation last year and called Collings at the advice of a builder. They sent me a tkl case with the green lining which fits an early 1960s J-50 perfectly.

I would suggest giving them a call. It was fairly reasonable shipped.

Good luck!
