Martin Monel MM13's
A few days ago I put a set of Martin monel 13s on my Godin Jazz Model 5th Avenue archtop.
This model has a floating pickup. It has laminated maple throughout. To my (old) ears, the monel "retro" medium gauge strings really make the Godin sound great. I play it primarily acoustically so roundwound strings are the way to go. Although it will never sound as sweet and powerful as my '39 Gibson L50, the Godin is darn nice with these strings. |

I agree - I've used these on my Kingpin for some years now

That's the set I put on my Epiphone Olympic reissue, and they have a great tone!

I really like them on my Eastman "ARE" (formerly MDC. Now its like an AR with a floating neck pu and piezo SBT) 805.
