Could anyone tell me how to do this. Im pretty sure u just plug your guitar in and then have a line out to your computer. Is that it?

That's it. The POD is at line level and either a 1/4" TRS balanced cable or TS unbalanced cable may be used, depending on your abilities.

I record with my POD, but I do it in a bit of a "spaghetti" way.

I record a track with Total Recorder (Shareware)
I clean up the track with GoldWave (Shareware)

Next, I play back the track with GoldWave, while playing along and recording the next track with Total Recorder.

Next, I mix the tracks with Cool Edit Pro (Now Adobe Audition)

Add tracks as needed.

I know that Cool Edit will do this entire process, but I haven't gotten motivated to learn the process.

By the way... I'm using my wife's CD jambox as my PC speakers. I have a cable that is two 1/4" jacks on one end, for the Left and Right stereo outs on the POD, into a single 1/8" phono jack in the Auxiliary input on the jambox. I got this cable at Guitar Center.

I recorded a rock project and the guitarist used his pod that had been "tweaked" to sound like his Marshall Plexi live amp and Fender live amp. It rocks!
