Do you have a grinder or a sander or a sanding block or a hand file or access to a concrete sidewalk?

Haha. Is it that easy? One of the videos I looked at had some machinery with sparks flying everywhere.

I have access to all of those things, minus the grinder. I will do my best.

So rather than grind the spanner, I spent a couple of quid on a drum sander attachment for my drill. With this I've managed to increase the truss rod pocket to create enough clearance to get my small hex wrench in there.

The truss rod nut moves and everything is right with the world.

All I'll need to do is buy a slightly bigger truss rod cover.
