Default Emerald (Odd email received)

I received an email from Kevin yesterday saying:

It has just been recently completed, the next stage will be photography.

Kevin

What could this mean? It's almost as if...

Everyone gets that message--it's Irish humor. Gets you all warmed up only to find that picture-taking can be a slow process, and delivery can be even slower.

Dancing from foot to foot has been tried, but does not speed up the hands-on process.

Just saying................

Odd, I never got that message.

I got "It's done, except for fitting of the pickups" then nothing for several more months.

Congrats on the new X30 Luva ! I guess we can't tease you anymore. How the heck did you keep it a secret? With less air at this altitude, I need a nap too.

Thanks John. I don't know how I managed to keep it secret. I'm not the type to "kiss and tell" but this one was just aching to get out. I did drop some hints here and there in some threads. I honestly never thought I would be able to have an X30 ever again. I owe it all to the little lady. She knows how much I miss that guitar (and she probably got tired of hearing about it too).

Congrats, GuitarLuva! Not easy keeping quiet about it... I did the same thing last year until I got the "should be done next week" word. And then, only 5 or 6 weeks later, I had it in my hands. Now, some of that time delay was on me, because we were traveling, some on them, and a few days (right at the end) of it thanks to the Postal System and a holiday weekend.

I thought I would avoid all the "waiting slings and arrows" by not saying anything until I got the word... didn't quite work out that way. Hope this last part goes fast and easy for you, and this new one fills that X30 size hole in your playing psyche.

Thanks cap. I've been without the X30 for 6 or 7 months now (I forget) but it's been a while. I never would've thought I would miss it like I did but it is what it is. I'm very happy to soon be blessed with another one. For me that guitar checks all the boxes. I guess I can call it my dream guitar.

Hope your calluses are reformed and you're still recovering well.

GutarLuva;

You have a good partner and good karma. Congratulations on both.

Very happy for you! And since you asked, my calluses are good (I've been doing an hour or so of playing daily) and the hip continues to get better - riding (scoot and bicycle), regular boat time, walking, and chasing the Blonde around. It's all good.

And I'm happy for you to Cap! All those activities are certainly good for you, especially chasing the blond around!

Received another email from Kevin this morning:

Final invoice has been sent via PayPal.

Let me know when you get this paid.

We plan to ship it tomorrow

Kind regards

Of course I paid it as fast as possible and it should be shipped tomorrow. Hopefully the wait won't be as painful this time as I've been without the X30 for so long.
