"In the history of our company, we have built precious few Style 45 instruments. This is mainly because when Dana does produce one, he uses the same exacting principles and quality demands that we apply to all of our guitars. On something as nuanced as a D-45, there's a lot to scrutinize! It takes the right mixture of skill, time and patience to get it right. It also takes the perfect combination of woods and materials, with only the rarest of Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack meeting Dana's standards. Recently the stars have aligned though, and we've set our master inlay craftsman Todd Owens to the task of executing a few very special 45s each year.

Our Abalone purfling is prepared especially for us to have the most naturally striking facets and color. Our technique of applying inlay requires more time and attention that some others, but we think the outcome is worth it! And, it would all be for nothing if it didn't sound mesmerizing. By every measure, our 45s are the finest guitars we've ever produced, and we are proud to show them to the world!"
