First Time Solo Rig?
Hey there. I'm interested in buying my first solo acoustic PA system. I like the fishman soloamp, but I'm a little scared of the price....I would like to get something I can expand for up to 2 mics and 2 guitars, but it MUST BE PORTABLE! The fender passport series seems to be my only option.
Can anyone reccomend a system for me? its really just for little indoor/outdoor home stuff and maybe a little bar type atmosphere. Thanks a lot! Bill

The Passport's a good idea. There's a woman in my area who does this for a living, year round gigs, selling CDs, takes everything that comes along. She has several PAs depending upon the gig, one of which is a Passport for when she does restaurant and other small, low volume gigs. I was impressed when I heard the result and I think it'll serve you well as an initial system.

68 reads and only 1 reply? I was expecting more than that!

Look for a used Soloamp. Sold my minty one today for $500 and had only one serious buyer when I advertised it for $550. Frankly, I think my Bose L1 kills it which is why I sold it, but it's good if it works for you. Very portable.

Get yourself a pair of used JBL EON 10 G2 powered speakers and a small nonpowered mixer ... great sound for a reasonable price and ultra portable
