I was really impressed how much louder it seemed compared to my more conventional CO-WS1000N2 - the bass response also seemed even stronger - this might be the 12 fret difference here. The next time I go into the store, I may ask them to change the strings on the WS1005nsm to see if that makes the mids a little more to my liking as I was so impressed with it, I came very close to buying it on the spot.
