I hope you don't mind me getting my paws on them while at Woodstock!

Oh boy..hahaha!

Treat her like she's someone's daughter, with care, love, respect, gentleness. If not, daddy will track you down and bad things might happen. HAHAHAHA.

Oh man that's amazing on so many levels! Met Leo a couple years ago at Woodstock, when he had his amazing quilt mahogany guitar (Not sure if it was a "Tree" set, but it looked like it.) Congrats!!!

Beautiful guitar you've got there, coke, I mean, mr zero.

I saw it, heard it and even got to play a few bars on it the day Mark Lemaire made it sing in the studio. As so many others have said, Leo is a master, and this is one of his masterpieces. A truly astounding instrument.

Enjoy in good health!

Sorry I missed you that day. Work duty calls. Yes, I'm thoroughly enjoying and and it's actually having me play different types of music. Pretty fun.

So I realised that I haven't shared this video here. It is an excerpt of "Angelina" by Tommy Emmanuel. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your new Buendia!

Great playing Marcus!

So here's my final thoughts and review. Unlike Juston and Eric, I'm not great with words, but I guess I can write little more about the guitar.

The Neck:
I'm not sure if it's Leo's history with classical guitar, but his neck, even though it's 1.75", feels wider than others I have tried (it's exactly 1.75"). Perhaps it's the neck profile, but this is something I enjoy. Though I do not have long fingers (in fact, quite short), it's very comfortable for my playing style and feel. It's been great to fingerpick, strum, and tap, though I mainly fingerpick. I do tend to hit the fretboard a lot for harmonics.

The Body/Sound:
This is my 1st OO and my history has been mostly with dreadnaughts and OMs. I love the big sound and the thick lows and mids. I was concerned that this guitar would not have that and would be relegated to my playing few songs. I was SO WRONG! I was taken back by the clarity, loudness, and the thickness of the tone! The harmonics are thick! I'm so in love with the tone. Perhaps it's the small body, able to project more focused sound (or not?), but whatever it is, Leo did an awesome job! The guitar is versatile, able to capture different essence of different types of music. I love it!

The Aesthetics:
This is 100% in the eyes of the beholder. I love the look of the guitar. I asked Leo for something elegant and classy. I wanted the classic use of abalone, but not overpowering of it's look. I didn't want to over emphasize the fiddleback, but still be able to showcase the grains. I wanted 12th fret marker, but wanted something subtle. I think Leo delivered on all fronts! Everything just fits the way it should.

It still brings big smile on my face whenever I open the case. BIG THANKS to Leo for his hard work and listening to my crazy ideas and answering all my useless questions!

Thanks for posting an update in these early days of your new relationship.

I love small guitars (00 and under) for their quick response, the notes seem to form and escape the box immediately, and the whole package feels more intimate.

Your guitar displays those attributes in spades. What really impressed me was how Leo managed to squeeze so much delicacy, depth and power into such a small box. I also found the neck to be pure heaven. You're a lucky dude, dude.
