They cost peanuts, many sold, the reviews aren’t very detailed, has anyone bought one of these before, and if so how did it sound? I assume these are knockoffs, are they comparable to the real sonitone?
If you think your guitar sounds like a good match for a $17 transducer then I'd go for it.

The Fishman Sonicore copies are just the same as the real Sonicore, a few pence worth of piezo cord made for seismic sensors and similar. It's probably all made in China anyway. Likewise the JJB sensors are based on the same 50p piezo disks that K&K use just more sensibly priced. Either will work well with a ToneDexter which will happily fulfilled your need to spend serious money, but unlike the Fishman and K&K pickups the TD is worth every penny.....

All the import stuff is NOT the same. I don't know about the Fishman knock-off stuff, but I ordered a knock off of the Baggs Element undersaddle transducer and the outer braiding was "corroded" with a white powder covering. If you flexed it a few times the outer shield simply fell apart.

I'll base any future purchases on that one experience.

I'm very happy with the Matrix knock-off (or actual Matrix, possibly) which I got.

The downside was that it took at least three weeks to arrive, although the ebay dealor had claimed that he had it in stock in the US. It didn't arrive 'til a week after I'd started complaining to ebay, and it was packed rather poorly. I was lucky that the post office hadn't damaged it.

Not true. They are not identical in either size or shape. I have both. Do you?

I know this an old post but i'll add some info for future reference. I have 4 guitars with the knock off "Fishman" Presys Blend 301 pickups installed. I installed 3 of the 4 myself. They sound quite well as far as i'm concerned. I use these guitars to perform solo and they are perfectly adequate for that. I play straight through my Peavey Escort 6000 "turtleshell" PA. I did replace the OEM Epiphone Performer electronics in a Hummingbird Pro with one of the fake fishmans. It was a considerable improvement over the Epiphone electronics. I just finished installing one in a Gold Tone Weissenborn i just bought. Sounds great. For the money you can't go wrong. They don't come with the template for the hole but that is available on the FIshman website. Now believe it or not but i did see one of the sellers touting his fake pickup as more "original" than the other fake pickups. Really.

I installed one of the JJB pickups in a tenor guitar and was quite impressed with what I got
For 20 some dollars.

I've gigged with JJB pickups for several years and they do sound great for not much money. I actually like them better than the K&K pickups. To me the K&K sounds a bit harsh and needs to be run through a preamp. I can plug the JJB straight into my Loudbox and it sounds great.
