Default RED WING - fingerpicking, flatpicking, & a minor key variation

An old favourite that is based on Schumann’s “The Happy Farmer”. Written by Mills & Chattaway in 1907, it’s become popular in the folk and bluegrass genres. Played on my D-35. Not perfect but neither am I… lol

Nice. (I think we usually play that in G - no capo?)

I like adding minor versions to these [major key] fiddle tunes (like Soldier's Joy and Red Haired Boy). I'll have to give this one a try. Thanks.

Thank you, Folks,, much appreciated! Yes, it’s usually in G but my older stiff fingers thank me for using the capo ;-)

Very Well Done, Chuck!

Also, this melody was used by Woody Guthrie for his song "Union Maid" which I first heard as performed by Pete Seeger back in the mid-1960s.
