Not sure of the pedigree but it doesn't shout "American-made" to me. Perhaps others can chime in.

It could be something like an old Harmony, Stella or Silvertone that has had some misadventures along the way and maybe crude amateur attempts at refinishing / repair. I've seen a couple of old Martins rescued from "decades in grandma's attic" that looked to be in that state of disrepair (not saying this is might be old Martin, to be clear).

I call them as I see them and I've seen a carload of junk like this.

It's a plywood top. Harmony type. Looks like somebody did a beginner job on sanding down and refinishing. No bridge mark. But paint splotches on it.

Nice shape. But it'd probably take a LOT of effort to turn this into a silk purse.
