Hello,

A bit of background of this song for my wife, Paula. The lyrics are a poem I wrote a few years ago and couldn't find the write music for it. I often play a friend's song that is written in Maj 7th chords, so I tried it and it fit better than anything I had tried before- at least IMHO

Paula and I have been together sing '65, married 48 yrs now. She suffered a very severe stroke 9 yrs ago and is home under 24/7 total care. The stroke robbed her of most of the right side of her brain but she continues to be super-woman. She was a neuro-RN for over 33 years. She rose to Nurse-Manager of a large hospital in Ann Arbor. She's a legend there. Deservedly so.

And, she is tough. Toughest person I've ever met. I tell her "You should have been a hockey player, Don Cherry would have loved you". Many songs I've written lately are "Paula Songs" but I know there are others out there with similar situations and I offer them to you as well.

Paula spends a large amount of her time sleeping. And I know it's to leave the drudgery she faces everyday. Her lot-in-life was truly helping others. So this song comes from the perspective of her dream of being whole again.
