Default Easy Finger Style Song Book Recommendations?

Hi, I'm new to AGF and this is my first post. I'm getting started in finger style after being a strummer/flat picker for several years. I'm practicing finger patterns every day, but also want to get started on actual songs I'm looking for finger style books that are on the easy side. I'd prefer books with CD's to be able to hear how it's supposed to sound. Slower songs would be better also.

Any Suggestions?

Joe

I'm not sure about "Song Books", but I've heard good things about Mark Hanson's fingerstyle books and DVDs.

You can also check out Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop: There are several DVD's, with accompanying tabs, which you might find useful ( I have).

Take a look on YouTube for some "samples."

Have a great time with it!

Thanks for your help. I checked out youtube and there is quit a bit of finger style lessons. I'd still like to find a good lesson book/CD/DVD that has actual songs. I'll check out the Mel Bay book that was suggested.

I'll have to go a "+1" with this suggestion.

I'm a newby this year and have found great lessons/examples/explanations on Grossmans DVD sets.

Good learning and some really nice songs, depending on the genre you select. I liked the "blues" so I went that route but he has plenty.

Also I found I liked his DVD's better than some others I looked into and bought, FWIW.

Jeremy.
