I grew up on the east coast and am the only one in my family that moved west.This song by Michael Reno Harrell explains why. Change "Wyoming" to "Colorado" and it feels like my story.

That's great stuff there - as someone who spent every vacation in the western mountain ranges in my early days, I always thought I'd end up living out there someday after my parents were gone, but it's just not possible financially now....and at 60 it's hard to leave everyone you know and start over again by yourself.

It still tugs at my heart though....

For those who moved out west, here's the song that spurred me to make that move. A native Texan, after 14 years in Houston I moved to Aspen in 1986. I used to see John Denver on the street occasionally. I wish I had introduced myself when I had the chance.

I have an awful lot of songs I consider to be the greatest and a great percent are written and performed by Bob Dylan. When asked to name ‘the greatest’, I have most often said All Along the Watchtower. However, I have always had a special soft spot for Mr Tambourine Man. Fun to see everyone’s response here.
