Jackson Browne's "Sky Blue and Black" is a song about romantic love, but also about the nature of love in general. It came out about the time that my father passed away, and the song hit me pretty hard. Still does.

Terrific guitar solo by Mark Goldenberg too.

I also have to go with Rocky Mountain High. My mother's family was scattered from New Mexico to Wyoming. Every visit to my grandparents and great-grandparents in Denver entailed a trip into the mountains, and the gravitational pull to return is always there. Like others have stated, life intervened and I found a career elsewhere. I am not sure that I would appreciate the Denver metro area anymore, "too many people, too many scars upon the land."

"El Paso" by Marty Robbins. Actually the Whole Gunfighter Ballads album is a desert island pick for me.

"Wichita Lineman" not to shabby either.

Here is my Spotify Playlist, titled "AGFer Favorites"

If multiple songs were mentioned, I picked the one I like best j. For Jack Straw I chose one from Nassau Coliseum 1980.

Is that Mr. Dylan singing that? Doesn't quite sound like him.

Maybe it’s really a half-dozen songs, but if I could only listen to one “song” for ever after it would be “Close to the Edge.”

It is indeed. His voice has changed a lot over the years - that is a demo from 1989.
