That is gorgeous! Nice work, what do you use for finish? I may have missed it if you said it already

It’s finished in nitrocellulose lacquer.

I am ashamed to say that I am a month late to this extravaganza.

Ben's work is nothing less than spectacular. Every design element, every detail in his building process and the sound of the finished guitars scream perfection!

I look forward to seeing, and more so hearing the finished "Frogtar".

Thank you for posting this extraordinary build!

Hats off to you Ben for another Amazing build - can't wait to hear this one.

Patrick

The Penisula Of Death, aka tiny piece of spruce, is among the hardest/ most dangerous parts of this design, because if you mess it up, that is basically the end of that top. I haven’t done it yet, but I do tape a protective piece of cardboard over it as soon as I cut it.

Wow--that is so rich looking!

The Frogtar is really shaping up to be totally stunning guitar!

Thanks! It took some effort to match the colors in the Brazilian, but I love how it makes the guitar feel unified. Also, I like the vintage looking burst on a modern looking instrument. My first love- the first acoustics I really noticed when I was younger- were vintage Gibsons from the 30’s. They look so rich! I hope this is an homage to that era.

This is gorgeous!! The burst really does blend right into the wonderful Brazilian... And this new design from Ben is beautiful. My spouse (the JPL engineer) is completely enamored with the physics of it also!).

And then we get to hear you play it! That day is coming....

BeaUtiful. That burst really blends nicely with the binding accentuating the rosewood

Default Thanks!

Thanks everyone! Ben will be making a custom sound hole cover for live shows. I believe it will be Brazilian or Macassar... Maybe I need to sneak into the shop and see what woody treats Ben might have! This guitar will be a tool, as much as an Art Piece to me.. I can't wait.

Thanks for commenting and looking everyone!
