I wasn't in the market for one, but tried one while the wife was with me. It sounded so good to both of us that she insisted that I buy one. Those of you married as long as I've been know not to argue, so as of Tuesday, I own one too.
I think that it has a great sound of its own & may become a new classic!.......Don

I've had mine a little over a month and it seems to get better every time I play it. I did replace the saddle and pins with bone from Colosi. The J15 is a great guitar no matter price range.

I have kind of had the same experience with mine. I've had it for a week and I swear its already opening up some. but in all fairness i've been playing it constantly. Also, the new guitar smell is still there. It smells a little bit like vanilla and woodworking. Simply glorious.

I very much like the concept of the guitar, and it looks SO great!
However I think it lacks a bit of attack, it`s really more an instrument for strumming rather than for fingerpicking.

I'd say the opposite, it has a very quick response and as someone who plays fingerstyle with bare fingers I love that. It's a very versatile guitar though, capable of handling many styles.

I do a crap ton of finger picking on mine, however I usually look for warmth, and low end response more than anything else. I like a good chocolatey sound with sparkling highs and present mids on top of the nice warm bassy cushion. Imo this guitar delivers on all accounts.

Glad you joined the slope club, Sausage.

Great guitars. A walnut J 50, sort of. Play it in good health.

Congratulations on your new J-15. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine. They are special. Here's a pic of mine. I also switched out the tuners and put on a new TRC.

To my knowledge, there are only 4 in existence. And all 4 are owned by members here (Mark E, myself and 2 others). You can search the General Discussion and probably find the other 2 members. You never know....maybe one of them is tired of it. At some point, more are bound to start popping up.

I switched out the tuners like Mark did. Wonderful sounding and B-E-A-utiful to look at.

To the OP - Hope you continue to enjoy yours!
