Default Saw Ryan Adams last night

Caught his solo acoustic show at the Strathmore last night, about 10 minutes from where I live. It was a great show, and he played for nearly 3 hours (about 35 songs) across his solo discography as well as a number of Whiskeytown tunes. Really an incredible show between the quality of the songs, his unique and resonant guitar playing, and that charismatic voice. Also pretty funny banter and great acoustics in that theater. He's had his problems in the celebrity spotlight, but it's hard to argue from my standpoint that he is a generational talent. I hope that he keeps his personal life in order and continues to writer and perform at the highest level. It was great to see him back at it.

Glad you enjoyed the show, I've been a fan for so long. Saw him years ago at the Beacon in NYC, Jesse Malin opened for him (when Jesse was barely known outside of NY).

One of my favorites, only lucky enough to see him once, hope to do so again someday.

Sounds like a great show.
Ryan just released his version of Springsteen's Nebraska album. It's a free download.

I saw him about seven years ago. His cover of Bob Mould's "Black Sheets Of Rain" is one of my favorite covers by anyone. Skip to 2:25 to get past his initial banter.

I used to truly dig him. Agreed on the talent. I just couldn’t get past the things he did. I’m so tempted to download Nebraska though!

Ps I’m not passing any judgement.

Yeah, I took a lengthy break from him, when those accusations broke. I don't want to step into forbidden territory here, but it's certainly difficult to separate the good things someone creates with their (allegedly) bad behaviors. Sadly, there are too many examples, where this happens.
