This one is a snippet of a portion of singing/guitar playing also showing what I mentioned above - try to play some lead notes within chords...

Someone caught part of this song in a noisy venue on an iphone.

It has taken me a while to get to this thread. I am VERY glad I did !!

Some players are good, some are great, all are great to listen to. I have heard or seen some players at other times (Pattis, Ruskin, NoleDog, etc). Love to hear people developing and sharing their music.

My wife wants to record me with her iPhone. We will see if I am courageous enough to give that a try.

Thanks to all!

That was wonderful, Dave. I hear so much going on, executed with great taste. Thanks. Forgive me - what song is that?

Hi, I don't know if this represents my individual style best, but I it shows some influences that I incoorporated in my playing. Most say that I am a very melodic guy and I hope that this is true. For me the melody is always the boss.
BTW: We have so many great talents here. Chapeau!!!

I enjoyed that! Let me see whether I can post it so more people will listen to it.

Certainly you have a "style" ; what is that guitar?

So many good videos here... I'm still going through them all but here's my entry:

A little ez-strummer from my first album. This is the kind of style I enjoy and what you'll most find me doing on a nice summer day or in front of a great sunset.

What the hell, I'll throw one in the mix... first of all let me say that as a player I can't hold a candle to most real players... as a singer/songwriter... well I try my best but I'll keep my day job... so here's my slightly out of tune Martin HD28VR

So many great posts on this thread. So many great players! I’m learning a lot. I’ve listened to part or all of every single song. Thanks, ukejon, for getting this going. My take is that I don’t really have “a style.” Or maybe I do and I don’t know it?

Here are a couple of examples. Apologies for my low tech, non-video approach. Geek by day - dreamy, intuitive, non-technical guy every time I pick up a guitar. More production details on the SC pages.

~ The first song is from 1922. Since I was 12 years old, this is the kind of music I wanted to play on a guitar, alternating thumb, kinda basic bluesy, ragtimey feel. https://soundcloud.com/vern-equinox/...usiness-but-my
~ Here’s a country ballad by Hank Locklin. 1949. https://soundcloud.com/vern-equinox/...e-pillow-take2
